What are Jape Snakes ?
They are an original closed species by Blacat.
Also known as Clown Snakes, they are a closed branch of Armanguisses found on Elsewhere. They are categorized by their type (Lesser, Greater, Myth and Deity), which is determined by the amount of spikes they have on their tail. They are inteligent enough to create their own society and group, but are not considered Humanoid due to most of them not being able to talk any official language. They are sometomes kept as pets, but keeping such creature can be tricky due to their high inteligence.
How can I get a JS ?
You may obtain one via adopts, auctions, MYO ticket sales, DTAs, etc.
Jape Snakes are a closed species, which means that you may not make one without a MYO ticket. You may buy a JS made by an official artist/guest artist too. You may find the list of people allowed to make and sell JS adopts here.
You may also buy a custom from Blacat when she has them open.
I recommand looking at the Blog section of this website for updates on currently open adopts/custom slots.
May I draw fanart/sell YCHs ?
Of course !
You do not need to own a JS to draw one. Keep in mind though, that some people prefer not to get fanart. So when it comes to fanart, make sure you have the owner's permission to draw their snake !
Can I draw my JS as a human/anthro/etc. ?
Yes, but it won't be considered canon to be Elsewhere universe.
Unless the JS has an ability to transform into something, drawing your JS as another species will be considered "out of context fun".
What are the rules for reselling/trading ?
What can be sold :
- Adoptables you've paid for.
- Customs you've paid for.
- Completed MYOs (designed) you've paid for.
You may only resell for the price you've bought the JS for. You may not sell the JS for higher than what you've paid for, unless it has commissioned artwork. In this case, you may sell the JS for its original price + the price of the commissioned artwork.
What can be traded/given away :
- Any official JS you own.
If for some reason a JS cannot be traded/given away, it will be writen on its masterlist entry.
Upon trading/selling/giving away your JS, you need to notify Jape-Snakes, so that the ownership can be officially transfered.
